A small café with a big oven

We started as a bakery selling loaves through the side window, and the café grew around it. The dough's mixed the night before and the first bake comes out at five.

There's room for about twenty people inside, a few tables on the footpath, and space for prams and dogs out front.

  • A barista pouring steamed milk into a coffee
  • A table of pastries and small plates from above
  • Two flat whites on wooden boards
  • Hands holding a cup of coffee with latte art

The cheese scones are the best in Auckland and I will not be taking questions.

Order ahead on the way to the train and it's ready when I walk in. Coffee's always hot.

Lovely staff, dog-friendly outside, and they always have a gluten-free option.
